INDUS RIVER(Sindhu nadi)
Meaning:
The name india is originally derived from the name of the river sindhu (Indus river) official name of the republic of India was derived from the Sanskrit name Sindhu that referred to Indus river.
An asian river that rises in Tibet and flows through northern India and then south west through kashmir and Pakistan to arabian sea.

INDUS water treaty was signed in Karachi 19 sep 1960 by Jawahar Lal Nehru and Ayub khan it's a water -distribution treaty between India and Pakistan, brokered by world bank,to use the water available in Indus river and tributaries, as 80% of indus water 💦 used by Pakistan and rest 20%used by India.

- . Sutlej:
Origin: Mansarovar Rakaslakes (Tibet)near Mt.kailas.
It flows generally west and south west through the region of Punjab.The region to it's south and east is dry ...its known as thar desert.
Bhakara Nangal dam is also on Sutlej river.
Beas: (vipasha)
Origin: Beas near Rohtang pass (H.P)
Flows through Kullu and Manali Entirely within India.
Ravi:
Origin: Rohtang pass Kullu hills (H.P)
Flows as Indo-Pak border
It's a trans-boundary river.

Jhelum
Origin: veriang, kashmir
Flows through Srinagar and wular lake

It flows north and then east & the south east of town the river is joined by hunza river.

Kabul :
Kabul river that starts in the Sanglakh range of Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan and ends in the indus river near attock, Pakistan.
Kabul is known for his garden ,bazzar,and palaces.
Gomal:
Gomal rivers 400km long river in Afghanistan & Pakistan the river was described in Ramayan, as gomti river.
Kurram:
Kurram river originates from watershed of kohe sofaid in kurram district, flows through north Waziristan district, Khyber, Pakistan and join river Indus near Isa khel.
