               Dibang River

  • Dibang River also known as Tato in ldu.
  • Source: indo - Chinese border in the dibang valley district of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Flows through the Mishmi hills ,states of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Join Dihang near sadiya town.


                   Lohit River
        
  •        Lohit rises in eastern tibet region.
  •       It's join brahmputra at (sadiya town) Assam.
    
      Dihing/burhi dihing River

  • . Largest tributary
  • . Source: Eastern Himalayas of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • . flows through Assam and joins Brahmaputra at dihingmukh near dibugarh.
  • . betel nuts are produced most in the areas of dihing plains 


Dikhou river

  • . It's source: Naga hills, near Zunhe boto town of Nagaland.
  • . Flows through Assam and joins brahmputra


  Dhansiri River

  • . Dhansiri is one of the most meandering (teda-meda), river.

  • . It's source: South West of Naga hills below laishiang peak (Nagaland)


Kopili River

  • . It's source: Borail range mountain 🏔️ in Meghalaya.
  • . It's basin is bound by the jaintia hills in the west and the south Cachar and Mikir hills in east.
  •   Kopili is the largest south bank tributaries of brahmputra, enter assam and finally flows to kalang/kolong,.



 Right bank tributaries

Subansiri River

  • Subansiri River also known as gold river by the locals.

  • Rises in the Tibet region in the Himalayas.

  • Flows through Arunachal Pradesh & Assam valley.

  • Joins brahmputra in Lakhimpur district of Assam.
 
  • Famous all over the world for its gold dust.



Kameng River (bhareli or jia bharali)

      
  •         It's forms the border between the east kameng n west kameng district,s
  • .  Rises in Tawang district, Arunachal Pradesh.(eastern Himalayas)
  • . It join brahmputra at Tezpur.

The kaziranga national park located near the kameng River.


      Barnadi River

  • It's a trans boundary river.
 
  • Source: Himalayas in Bhutan
  • Enters Assam in Darrang district and joins brahmputra near north Guwahati.

Manas River(largest river system of Bhutan)


  • Its a trans-boundary river.
  • It meet brahmputra river at jogighopa (Assam).
  • Source: Himalayan foothills betn Southern Bhutan and india.
Royal Manas National park of Bhutan and the Manas wildlife sanctuary are located in the Manas River Valley.


Manas is famous for its population of wild water 💦 buffalo.

 Sankosh River

  • . Trans - boundary river-flows through Bhutan, India.
  • . Meets brahmputra in Assam.
  • . Rises in the northern Bhutan region, flows on the border of Assam and west bengal.





Teesta River:

  • Teesta river is also known as Life line of Sikkim.
  • Source: Tso Lhamo lake/ Teesta khangse glacier in Kanchenjunga massif (North Sikkim)
  • It forms the border betn Sikkim and west bengal.
  • Join jamuna River at phulchhari in gaibandha district of Bangladesh.

Teesta river is green due to scientific explanation is that the Teesta river is green due to mechanical grinding of bed rock from dam Construction that release fine particles of rock into water 💦. when sediment s enter the water, light , wavelength are distorted, reflecting green or blue light.



Note: Brahmputra river is known as red river in India because this river turns red for 3 or so days in month of june ,other say mountain 🏔️ at which temple is located is made up of Cinnaber give river water red tinge...its becoz some red algae growth in the month of june (bright red mineral Consistency of mercury sulphide used as pigment).
